In a press release published on 22 July, Watford FC announced a new multi-year partnership with Stake.com. As part of the partnership, the crypto casino and sports betting platform will become the club’s principal shirt sponsor as they return to the Premier League. The agreement is set to start in the 2021/2022 season, the company said in the press release.

The partnership with Watford FC is part of Stake’s effort to expand its sports sponsorship portfolio. In March this year, the company announced it will be UFC’s Official Betting Partner in Latin America and Asia. The visibility Stake receives from the partnership will be used to drive awareness to the brand in the U.K. as the company prepares to launch Stake.co.uk.

“The past few years have seen consistent growth for Stake and this partnership with Watford marks the next chapter for our company,” said Mladen Vuckovic, the CEO of Stake.com. “We’re committed to becoming a key part of the Watford family and have a number of exciting initiatives planned for fans over the coming months.”

To celebrate the beginning of the partnership, Stake will be running several crypto initiatives, including a 10 million DOGE giveaway on their international platform.
