According to a press release published on 5 August, Cobo has partnered with Alchemy Pay to add hybrid crypto-to-fiat payment options to its platform. The two companies will join forces to offer high-performance overseas payment channels to the millions using their services.

Cobo is led by Shixing Mao, also known as “Discus Fish”, the co-founder of F2Pool. Commenting on the partnership, Mao said Cobo and Alchemy Pay are both pioneers in their respective fields that will each bring additional usage scenarios to the other.

Cobo currently offers users the Cobo Wallet, a secure mobile wallet, and Cobo Vault, a high-end storage wallet, while institutional investors have access to Cobo’s custodial services. Clients in each of Cobo’s market segments will benefit from the increased number of payment options enabled through the partnership with Alchemy Pay, the company said in the press release.

Once Cobo integrates its services, Alchemy Pay will be able to access Cobo’s client network and offer them enhanced security and custodial services.

“Alchemy Pay is expanding globally, as is Cobo,” said John Tan, CEO of Alchemy Pay. “And by joining forces with one of the best crypto wallet and custody providers in Asia, we can better serve the clients that are the foundation of our growth. Moreover, Alchemy Pay increases its base of client touchpoints through the Cobo network.”
