Cryptocurrency exchange OKEx has integrated support for blockchain-based addresses to its customer wallets.
The integration will enable users of the OKEx wallet to send and receive cryptocurrencies through a single .crypto or .zil domain name. This means users won’t have to provide separate, 40-character addresses for payments in different currencies.
According to the company’s press release, introducing Unstoppable Domains demonstrates OKEx’s support for the furtherment of the decentralized web. Jay Hao, the CEO of OKEx, said that introducing simplified address formats will enhance the user experience on the exchange and help onboard more people to crypto.
Unstoppable Domains has registered more than 250,000 domains to date. The integration with the OKEx wallet will help set a new standard for cryptocurrency wallets and push blockchain adoption into the mainstream, the company said in the release.
