According to a press release published on 4 August, Voyager Digital has partnered with Usio, an integrated electronic payment solutions provider, enabling its merchants to accept crypto payments. Voyager’s subsidiary Coinify will provide a secure payment platform to Usio, enabling merchants to accept cryptocurrencies as payment either in-person, via electronic invoice, or text-to-pay.

Usio will support 60 cryptocurrencies and allow customers to checkout with crypto for online purchases, donations, and tax payments. All cryptocurrency transactions will be converted to U.S. dollars at checkout with predetermined conversion rates and no additional fees to the customer, the company said. The service is expected to launch in late 2021.

“The combination of Usio’s innovative, client-facing technology and Voyager’s state-of-the-art, scalable, and secure payment offering, via our recent Coinify acquisition, is coming together just as the adoption of cryptocurrency as a form of payment is experiencing exponential growth,” said Stephen Ehrlich, the CEO and Co-Founder of Voyager. “This new program will provide both merchants and ISVs an efficient, cost-effective, and seamless tool that responds to the evolution in payment trends.”
