Kraken Reveals New Website Design

Today, the major cryptocurrency exchange has surprised visitors with a refreshed look. Featuring contrasting colours representing the dynamic nature of the markets, they have completely left their old bland landing page behind.

They have also taken the opportunity to throw a subtle jab at competitors such as Poloniex and Bittrex, whose branding is heavily blue-focused. In their own words:

“Kraken stands out in a sea of boring blue…The problem is that too many companies and brands use this color. As a result, blue then may as well be a boring beige…This new main color evokes feelings of richness and prestige, which is fitting considering Kraken has handled over $140,000,000,000 in trades and is one of the oldest and most respected crypto exchanges.”

Surprisingly unmentioned, yet noticed by many of the exchange’s users is the performance boost it appears to have seen today. Loading speeds have been a long-term problem for Kraken, driving many traders away. Even previous engine upgrades, while helpful, did not help the exchange reach the levels of snappiness we are familiar with thanks to Binance, Coinbase and Bittrex.

Overall the revamped user experience has been universally liked across the board. As for now, day one of the new brave Kraken appears to be a major success.
