FLAT.FM an online music streaming site that brings together music authors and listeners from all over the globe issued its own cryptocurrency on the Minter blockchain platform. An announcement from the Minter Development Foundation was made on 15th November 2019.

The electronic streaming service plans to use this coin for the following activities:

  1. Accept payment for services using means other than fiat currencies.
  2. Offer 50% discount on the subscription plans if the coin is used.
  3. Pay all authors a particular fee when a person listens to their mix.
  4. Sell tickets for events and parties worldwide and guests to return the coins with no obligation.

In the future, Flat FM’s team plans to set up a masternode on the Minter network. As the CEO Maskim Anisimov explained, Flat FM’s quest to settle with its diversely-situated musicians is always impeded by expensive commission fees and cross-border payment issues.

After 2 years of searching, Flat FM got a technologically innovative solution through the Minter blockchain ecosystem.

Anisimov further outlined how the Minter network benefits the online streaming service:

  1. Instant worldwide transfers to any location.
  2. Low transaction costs that enable a system of paying authors in their own currency.
  3. Absolute liquidity to convert the coin to fiat currency or use other Minter services.
  4. Exchange FLATCOIN for other cryptocurrencies through atomic swaps.

He mentioned that these advantages have been implemented into the FLAT.FM operations and future products of the FLAT.DIGITAL ecosystem.

Individuals and organizations such as FLAT FM can create and manage their own coins and exchange them at a fair price with absolute and instant liquidity on the Minter blockchain ecosystem developed by the Minter Development Foundation.
