Cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase has expanded the support of its Visa debit card with five more crypto options, the company announced on Twitter on 14 November.

According to the tweet, holders of the Coinbase Visa Card can now spend their Ripple (XRP), Basic Attention Token (BAT), Augur (REP), 0x (ZRX) and Stellard (XLM) directly from the card.

With the addition of these cryptos, the total options for the card have become nine, with it previously supporting only Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Bitcoin Cash (BCH) and Litecoin (LTC).

In a separate tweet, the company further announced that it has expanded the availability of the card to 10 more European countries, bringing the total of supported countries to 29.

The exchange’s customers in Bulgaria, Croatia, Denmark, Hungary, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Poland, Romania and Sweden now also have access to this product.

Coinbase UK’s CEO, Zeeshan Feroz, said in a statement:

“By more than doubling the number of assets our customers can spend on Coinbase Card, as well as introducing the card to 10 new countries, Coinbase continues to help drive crypto’s role as a utility, and not just an investment.”

Coinbase’s Visa debit card was first launched back in April, to allow U.K. and EU customers of the exchange to make purchases with digital currencies from their Coinbase accounts.

The company has claimed that the card can be used anywhere that Visa is accepted, with Coinbase converting its customers crypto funds into fiat for a fee.
